1. P.V. Sindhu



Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is a popular badminton player. She is counted among the top players in the country. She is also known as P.V. Sindhu. She was born on 1st July 1995 into a Telegu family. Her parents, P.V Ramang and P. Vijaya, are also professional sportspersons. Her father also has received Arjuna Award for his brilliant Performance in sports. P.V. Sindhu decided to go into the field of sports. at the age of 6. She worked day in and day out to fulfill her dream. She used to travel. more than 56 kms. every day from her home to the coaching camp.

She is known for many achievement - Silver Medal in 2016 Summer Olympics, Asia Youth Under Championship 2012, Gold Medal 2011, third Civilian Honour in in India, Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna. Award in 2016 after winning the silver medal at the Olympic level. She was also the first player who was globally acknowledged for her talent, competency and skill in badminton in the top 20 Badminton world Federation world ranking in the year 2012. P.V. Sindhu is an inspiration to millions of aspiring women players.




2. Vineeta Singh


The Indian entrepreneur Vineeta Singh was born in Delhi, India. She has completed her schooling with the Delhi Public School, Delhi and Rama Krishna Puran, Delhi. Her husband's name is Kaushik Mukherjee and she has two children. Vineeta Singh has completed her Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. She is the founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetic, that has a 35000 points of distribution network in 120 cities throughout Indian. She has a net worth of about $8 Million.

Some important events in her life are- 1. At the age of 23, She became the youngest postgraduate in India to refuse a ₹1crore yearly placement offer from a worldwide investment company to start its HR Company services. 2. It is among the top hundred mindful women in the world. 3. She has become the judge of the first business related reality show named Shark Tank India.




3. Medha Patkar


The Indian social activist Medha Patkar was borne a in Mumbai, Indi Maharashtra. She is chiefly known for her work with people. displaced by the Narmada valley Development Project, a large-scale plan to dam, the Narmada River and its tri but tributaries in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. An advocate of human rights, she founded her campaigns on two basic tenets in the Indian constitution: the rights to live and to live hood.  

In 1985 she visited villages in the Narmada valley that were to be submerged after the completion of the Sardar Sarovar Dam in south eastern Gujarat, one of the largest of the planned projects. There she became aware of indifference exhibited by local government officials toward the people affected by the project. In 1986 she and Her supporters organized marches and protests against the local government entity that was Seeking financial grants from the World Bank for the Sardar Sarovar project. In 1996 she founded the National Alliance of People's movements and agglomeration of Progressive Social bodies opposed to globalization policies.




4. Kamalathal (Idli Amma)



Remember Idli Amma who sold Idlis for ₹ 1 during the pandemic despite running losses? Also known as "Paatima", she is in her 80s and based in Tamil Nadu, where she was till now working out of her humble home. Her inspirational story has drawn attention once again and now Idli Amma is all set for an is all an upgrade on her home-cum-working space. Industrialist Anand Mahindra will provide financial assistance on her residence from his organization.

"Profits are not my priority but feeding the people is what drives me to work" She had said in interviews.

What invited another round of applause for her was the news that through the lockdown-which saw nationwide job losses and massive financial downfalls - Idli Amma Kamalathal continued selling low-priced idlis.




5. Kollakkayil Devaki Amma


Devaki Amma was born in 1934 in Muthukulam in Kerala. Her love of horticulture was inspired by her grandfather. She married Ghopala Krishna Pillai. He was a teacher and worked in the paddy fields growing rice in 1980, Devaki Amma met with a Serious car accident, which left her bed-ridden for three years.

After she Devaki Amma recovered from the accident Devaki Amma was Unable to work in the paddy fields, so she began to plant trees Th her back gar garden. Over time Project developed into a 4.5-acre forest. 9+ contains over 3000 trees, including krishnanal, mahogany, mango, musk pine, star and tamarind. There are also rare plants, and the wood attracts birds such as Amur five years on the forest mostly on her own, using cows, buffalo and oxen, and harvesting rainwater.

Devaki Amma was given the social Forestry Award by the At Alappuzha district. and the Bhumitra Puruskar by vit Vijnana Bharati The state of Kevala bestowed upon her the Hari Vyakti Puruskar. On the national Level she has received the Indira Priya Priyadarshini EKS. Vrikshamitra award and the Nari Shakti Puraskar. The latter given to was her by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.




6. Sindhutai Sapkal 



She was born on 14 November 1948, in Pimpri Meghe village in Wardha district in the Central Provinces and Berar of British India to Abhimanyu Sathe, a cowherder. Family responsibilities & and an early marriage forced her to quit formal education after fourth standard. She was married at age -12 to Shrihari Sapkal, who was 20 years elder to her, and moved to Nawargaon "Village, Seloo in Wardha. The marriage. did not last long and at the age of 2o she was left on her own to for a girl child.

She later found In Chikhaldara she started begging on railway platform for food. In the process, she realized that    there were many children abandoned by their parents and she adopted them as her own. She then begged more vigorously to feed them. She decided to become    a mother to everyone who came across her as an orphan. She later donated her biological child to the trust Shrimant Dagdu Sheth Halwai Pune, to eliminate the feeling of partiality between her biological child and the adopted children.

She also fought for proper rehabilitation of the helpless tribal villagers. Who were evacuated from their villages during tiger preservation project. Her efforts were acknowledged by the Minister of Forests and they made appropriate arrangements for alternative relocation. 

She is awarded with Shivlila Mahila Gaurav Award, Rajai Award, Sahyadri Hirkani Award, Dattak Mata Purskar, women of the Year Award, Ahilyabai Holkar Award, COEP Gaurav Puraskar, Real Heroes Awards, The National Award for Iconic Mother, Mother Teresa Award, Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Prize, Social Worker of the Year Award, Honorary doctorate, Nari Shakti Puraskar, Padma Shri.

One of her famous movies is 'Mee Sindhutal Sapkal'.

Unfortunately, she    died on 4 January. 2022.
